Podcasting is the distribution of audio, video, in files, like radio programs, music videos, through the Internet using RSS or Atom syndication for listening on mobile devices and/or PC's. The term podcast, is similar to "radio", but refers to the typ of delivery.. Podcasters' sites also offer direct download of files, but usually the subscription feed of automatically delivered new content is what seperates a podcast from a simple download or real-time streaming.
More than not, the podcast features one type of show with new episodes randomly or at planned intervals like daily, weekly, etc. In addition to this, there are podcast networks actually that feature multiple shows on the same feed or sharing a feed. Podcasting is about creating content out of audio or video for an audience that wants to listen when, where, and how they want.
